The Chicago Leather Club in association with LRA Chicago present:
"How to Find Kink Aware Therapy/Counseling"
This discussion will be centered on how to locate and assess mental health therapists from the perspective of the kink-involved. Evelyn will provide handouts, discussion points, and facilitate an open-ended talk. Guidelines on what to look for when interviewing mental health professions will also be made available to the event participants.
This event is a presented by the Chicago Leather Club and hosted by LRA Chicago.
Evelyn, a licensed clinician as well as an academically trained research scientist, has been providing professional clinical counseling services for the bdsm/ds, TG, poly, and other lifestyle communities for the past 10 years. In addition to her state licensure, Evelyn is nearing completion of a Ph.D. in Psychology, and holds several degrees: a Master of Arts, a Master of Human Services, and a Master of Professional Counseling. Furthermore, she has been involved in the scientific study of BDSM for the past seven years.
The host for the event will be CLC member Angie, who also serves as the Treasurer for LRA Chicago.
