LRA, successor to one of Chicago's oldest BDSM clubs, is pleased to announce that it will be offering instruction on the ins and outs of being a Dungeon Monitor.
This event will be held Saturday, May 30, 2009, 5:00pm and again Sunday, May 31, 2009, 4:00pm, both at LRA. You are free to attend either session or both if you desire.
Dungeon safety is an ever present concern among those involved with BDSM. This event is being offered those who would like to get basic information on what is involved with being a DM, what to look for, what to expect, what to do, and also, what not to do. We will also address what to do and NOT do if the need arises to interact with law enforcement in the course of DM duties.
So whether you actually want to be a Dungeon Monitor somewhere or just get more informed, this will be for you.
LRA offers this as a service to the community although, this is NOT a DM "certification" or "licensing" program. This will simply be an educational opportunity for the community to come out and learn the general ins and outs of being a Dungeon Monitor.
These sessions will be led by Lord Sedoh.
Lord Sedoh began in the lifestyle 35 years ago as a slave, with the honor of serving seven mistresses over nine years. Following the untimely death of the last one, his search led him to be mentored in some Old Guard traditions by an old gay leather boy, who also presented him with the name Lord Sedoh. The culmination of training and experiences has brought him to the sadistic Dominant that he is today.
He became the Dungeon Monitor at the old Leather Rose in 1996. His gift of gab, ease with people, and lifestyle experience made DM a good fit for the club and for him. Over time he has had the opportunity and pleasure of interacting with many different kinksters, and is nationally known for his play style and philosophies.
He is pleased to be here this weekend to speak with you about the how-to’s and responsibilities of being a Dungeon Monitor. Please do not hesitate to ask questions, or seek him out after the talk.
