Members and Friends of LRA,
We just got back from GLLA in Indianapolis and boy are our arms tired! (Ok, bad joke)
As some of you may be aware, the 9th annual Great Lakes Leather Alliance was held this past weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana, and when we say LRA was well represented, well, that is an understatement.
First and foremost, we want to let everyone know how proud we all are of Master Raven and slave evangeline in their bid for the GLLA Master/slave title. They represented themselves, LRA and the Chicago community in an outstanding fashion. In short, THEY ROCKED! We congratulate them for their status as runners up, and look forward to their future involvement within the Leather community at large.
However, we are going to have to convince Master Raven to have slave evangeline do her Quiznos impression one night down at the club very soon!
Again, we are all extremely proud of the outstanding job they did!
We also want to acknowledge the other LRA members who played a role in this past weekends GLLA:
Daddy Orchid and Bella assisted Master Raven and slave evangeline during their competition, in helping to get them dressed, keeping them hydrated and fed, and helping to keep them organized. Trust us folks, helping out contestants is no easy feat!
Riley was the coordinator of the Bootblack Contest, ran an excellent contest. And the Ash Bash was an outstanding success! Bourbon flowed and cigars were smoked, and we are sure that everyone who attended had a great time.
pony was one of the judges of the Bootblack contest was instrumental in the selection of Piglet, Great Lakes Bootblack 2010! she also, along with Bootdog, were featured bootblacks during the Ash Bash, finally taking the “Dog and pony show” on the road!
rachel was the bootblack judges assistant, apparently was her normal bossy self in keeping the judges on track and organized.
Master Michael served as the LeatherSir/Leatherboy/Ms Leather Pride Tally Master and angie served as the Bootblack Tally Person.
Min coordinated the MAsT, International/GLLA cocktail party during the Master/slave Auction on Saturday (along with serving up some very tasty drinks!) and chaired the MAsT Great Lakes Regional meeting on Sunday.
Mistress Joanne gave her ever popular “Touching the Soul through Fisting” class, along with assisting in the presentation of a Master’s cover to Lady Justice of Ohio.
And believe it or not, we had several other members of LRA who were in attendance as well, who were lending their spirit and energy to the weekend, who lent their assistance and support.
We were also proud to have our new “LRA Chicago” banner hanging in the atrium along with the other organizational banners, including Chicago’s own Chicago Leather Club. You can come see the banner starting this weekend at LRA.
We want to thank all of our members for being excellent representatives of LRA and showing just why we have some of the best members around. It was a great weekend and we hope to take even more members with us to next years LRA!
Sincerely,
The LRA Board of Directors
